High-level Overview:
The Manager, Marketing and Communications will be responsible for the public facing image of T-REX,
working closely with the Client Development and Operations teams. This person will have broad
responsibilities encompassing corporate marketing initiatives, external visibility through press releases and
media relationships, conferences, online marketing channels, and day-to-day business operations. The ideal
candidate will have a mix of creativity, enthusiasm, and self-drive, as well as exceptional writing skills. This is
an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about marketing and public relations and who thrives
in an entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
Marketing Responsibilities
• T-REX branding, including marketing materials and ongoing revision(s) of larger sales narrative(s).
• Create and maintain sales collateral (e.g. presentation templates, one pagers, FAQs, case studies,
post campaign wrap-ups).
• Support the sales process through sales tools and ongoing development of presentation materials.
• Liaise with, and oversee, outsourced graphic designer
• Lead generation via sales marketing campaigns – work with the Client Development team to
strategize, draft content, and run email and other campaigns
• General understanding of Google Analytics and ability to create reports and provide actionable
insights for sales team.
• Evaluate industry awards and oversee submission processes.
• Create and manage external newsletters.

Event Management Responsibilities
• Assess and negotiate conference sponsorships and speaking opportunities; manage all logistics.
• Compile and maintain corporate calendar of events.
• Manage lifecycle of T-REX presence at industry conferences and events from branding to trade show
booths.
• Suggest and manage company events: annual company retreat, team building activities, receptions
at the office with external stakeholders.
PR Responsibilities
• Own, manage and direct relationship with T-REX’s Agency(ies) of Record.
• Work with PR firm to draft press releases, manage release schedule and information flow internally.
• Work with outside journalists in briefing them on T-REX and positioning T-REX in the media
• Liaise directly with third parties (shareholders/investors, partners, customers, etc.) to compile and
creating content.
• Manage and create articles and materials for internal and external dissemination that relates to news
stories, market updates, white papers, bylined articles, etc.
• Actively monitor news trends and engage with media contacts on timely story ideas.
• Maintain a catalogue of relevant competitor stories/initiatives.
Web and Social Media Responsibilities
• Primary point on contact between vendor and company for maintaining corporate website.
• Manage all content & look and feel, updating timely with key information.
• Review, update and implement a social media strategy.
• Manage social media presence for the business.
Internal Communications
• Manage internal company meetings: planning, agendas, communication
• Ensure that communication tools across the company are suited for all communication needs
internally and externally
• Create regular internal communications to share updates on the business with the entire team
Skills & Qualifications
• B.A. from an accredited university
• 5+ years of public relations and/or marketing experience, ideally with experience at an agency or in
a start-up environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proactive attitude and work ethic
• Detail-oriented problem solver with the ability to multitask effectively
• Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently, while also having the skills to collaborate
with individuals and across teams
